Nuclear power interests?

our government for quite a while now decided to return to nuclear

, without seeking the consent of the citizens that it abolished 22 years ago from Italy. Apparently has already signed agreements with France for the construction of "new" nuclear power plants. Put the new word in quotes for the simple fact that the third generation nuclear power plants, which are those that go to make, use the same technologies

50 years ago, with a few simple changes with regard to safety and design.
These plants should be ready as planned for 2020, but as we well know in Italy between procurement, sub-contracts, procurement of the sub-contracts, various inefficiencies and the Mafia, the construction time will almost certainly be expanded until at least 2030, with stratospheric costs!
What is interesting is the fact that nuclear power is taken to find energy independence days, but there is no uranium in Italy ... so what is independence?
Would not it be preferable to the development
renewable energy?

These are certainly much less expensive

are more rapidly applied, are safe

and above would ensure greater energy independence

abroad, and increased
jobs! How come our government does not take steps in this direction? Incredible is the fact that Germany (like many other states), which may in fact use less power the Sun has chosen to follow this way for years. While we are watching them, with all the power that we could have!
be added the fact that renewable energy would help to improve the pollution situation, and to be part of a set with the European Union, with nuclear and we will never achieve compliance with the agreements, which would lead to billions and billions of Euros on penalties to Italy, which of course must be paid "blood" by Italian citizens (those of lower-class for instance).
not add anything other than the recommendation of the vision of this PDF, which explains the "advantages" of nuclear power. It also suggest reading this
